Should you go abroad for dental work?

Having straight, white teeth is becoming increasingly popular and people are forking out thousands of pounds to obtain the perfect smile. From invisible braces to veneers, there really is a solution to your teeth problems, but this does often come at a cost and not a little one!

Composite veneers will set you back between £200-350 per tooth.  This is quite a bit cheaper than the porcelain options which is likely to cost around £695 each tooth. With this in mind it is not unreasonable to expect to pay around £20,000 for a full set.

Because prices for private dental work is quite high in the UK, many people are tempted to go abroad for their treatments. Turkey is a popular choice when looking around for clinics as in comparison you can expect to pay around  £4500 for a set of porcelain veneers, which is a huge saving. But this often does not come without risks and you don’t have to look far to find some horror stories of botched dental work gone wrong.

Before having any dental treatment done, you should have an in depth consultation and know exactly what it is you are going to be having done and what complications could arise.
